În Piaţa Universităţii (“Maidanul” nostru), pe zidul Universităţii din Bucureşti se află o placă de marmoră comemorativă pe care sunt săpate următoarele cuvinte simple: “Aici s-a murit pentru libertate (decembrie 1989)”. Atât de simplu şi atât de dramatic. În decembrie 1989, în România au murit peste 1.100 de oameni pentru înlăturarea dictaturii. Alţi peste 3.000 au rămas schilodiţi pe viaţă. Ştim ce înseamnă asta.
De aceea, noi, cetăţeni liberi ai unei ţări libere, ne solidarizăm cu vecinii noştri ucraineni care luptă împotriva unui regim autoritar și corupt, pentru o UCRAINĂ LIBERĂ ŞI EUROPEANĂ. Cerem autorităţilor ucrainene, care au ajuns să tragă în propriul popor, să oprească imediat măcelul, să-şi dea demisia şi să organizeze cât mai curând alegeri anticipate. Grupul pentru Dialog Social cere românilor din ţară şi de pretutindeni să se solidarizeze cu acest apel.

I have some doubts about this revolution, but being closer you may know more. Here are some questions:
1. Does it represent the will of the people? I understand that East Ukrainians are rather pro-Russian?
2. Is it allowed to override a democratic election by mob attacks? I believe in US they would be crushed in a much more violent manner
3. Is it allowed for foreign countries to arrange the next Ukrainian government? You know about the intercepted phone call. Does this suggest a foreign manipulation?
4. Is a change towards Europe good for Ukraine? Remember their economy was naturally integrated with Russia for hundreds of years. They sell easier in Russia than Europe and receive subsidized gas.
5. Could this conflict be resolved in the next round of elections?
6. Finally: should Christians endorse mob violence, for whatever reason, good or bad? Should the Christians have joined the Jewish rebellion in year 70?
