Chawkat Moucarry – A Christian View of Islam

This lecture was delivered by my World Vision colleague Dr. Chawkat Moucarry, on Thursday 19 February 2015, at the Patriarch Ilia II Foundation in Tbilisi, Georgia, as part of its intellectual and spiritual development programme for youth. Over sixty young people participate in this lecture, which ended with a question – answer session and a little reception.

Chris Wright: Pray for the peace of… Babylon?!

Rev. Dr. Chris Wright is one of the clearest prophetic voices in today’s evangelicalism, one that both Westerners and Easterners need to hear. May God bless him and keep him, for the good of his Church.

Rev. Dr. Chris Wright, Langham Partnership’s International Director, is an Irishman who lives in London, with his heart firmly planted in the Majority World! Chris, with his wonderful wife Liz alongside, has pastored a local parish church, taught at a top seminary in India, served as President of a key Christian college, and authored 20 books. Chris was Chair of the Lausanne Theology Working Group from 2005 – 2011, and Chair of the Statement Working Group at the Third Lausanne Congress, 2010, which produced The Cape Town Commitment. He is also Chair of the Theological Resource Team for Tearfund (UK).

I have had the privilege of serving for four years under Christ Wright’s leadership in the Lausanne Theology Task Force, and I have deep respect for his prophetic character and Biblical teaching, that makes the Old Testament alive in vivid Christological manner. A real gist for the Church. John Stott could have not chosen a better successor at the leadership of Langham Partnership.
