Consacration of our house

Yesterday evening we were finally able to have the consecration ceremony of our new house, occasioned by the first visit in Iasi of my parish priest, Fr. Patrick Irwin, pastoring the Anglican Church in Bucharest, whose member I am. He has been joined in this ecumenical service by two dear friends, Fr. Cornel Cadar, Roman-Catholic priest and Dr. Danut Jemna, pastor of Strajerul Pantecostal church in Iasi where we worship.

A small musical group from our church joined us for the ceremony. My Son’s Tisagion (praise hymn to the Holy Trinity) was the first of their song.  The last song in the ceremony was the a Celtic Blessing (May the road raise to meet you…) for which I have adapted the text in Romanian.

Following this ceremony, our oldest grandson in Romania, Thomas (standing here boldly, at his initiative, between the Anglican and the Catholic priest) announced us solemnly that he wants to become a priest.

We have finished our ceremony with a small reception.

We thank all our friends who joined us in this  celebration, either in the body or through their prayers.
