Calls for
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING FOR KOSOVA January 31st, 2011
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chr. 7:14
Dear brethren and prayer partners,
It was back in 1999 when handful of believing Christians from Kosova for the first time launched the call for an International Day of Prayer and Fasting for Kosova.
Kosova was preparing to go through an armed conflict of some kind, without knowing that it will turn into a massive exodus of Biblical proportions. Believers of small churches decided to join hands in prayer and ask all Kosova’s friends to do the same.
Thousands of people from all corners of the globe responded to this call. Since 1999, January 31st every year repeats as INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING FOR KOSOVA.
Every year the Kosova church has had different prayer requests, and we thank you all for praying and we thank God for answering your prayers.
The year 2011 is a challenging year for Kosova and its population. We would kindly ask you to bring before our God the Father through Jesus Christ, with prayer and fasting, the following prayer requests:
1. Evangelization of Kosova
– For the people of Kosova to turn to God and to forsake their old sinful way of living;
– That the church will gain in influence amongst the families of the nation.
2. Protections from Persecution
– For the physical protection of all those believers who have made a covenant with God through Jesus Christ;
– For boldness of all believers to remain steadfast in their walk of faith.
3. Political Situation
– For the Government of Kosova: for the to be elected President, Prime Minister, and Speaker of the Parliament;
– For Governmental Officials so they have the fear of God in their hearts as they take the step to lead this country;
– For peace between ethnicities in Kosova and for God’s peace to rule between relations of Kosova and Serbia.
4. Economical Situation
– For God’s provision for all those members of many families who spend their month with about 30.00 USD;
– For corruption to be torn down at any and all levels of governance;
– For new jobs to open in Kosova.
In closing, please allow us to thank you for all your prayers over the years and also thank you in advance for praying on January 31st.
