Five Reasons Why We Must Oppose the Pope’s Visit in the UK

The Bigoted Society, formerly The Liberal Society has published recently the following communique, in protest for the outrageously daring visit of the Pope in their country:

“There are five reasons why we must oppose the Pope’s visit.

“Firstly, the Pope’s teaching that sex belongs within a lifelong monogamous heterosexual marriage is clearly dangerous.  If everybody only had sex with their wife or husband it would lead to untold numbers of sexually transmitted diseases being wiped off the map.  This is clearly STD-ist.

“Secondly, the Pope and his ilk began a movement which spread education around the globe – society around the world was far better of when only rich sons of wealthy landowners could afford to be educated.

“Thirdly, the Pope and his church value even the most vulnerable of human life – that which has yet to be born.  The last thing any right-minded individual would want to do is protect the weak.  It’s outrageous.

“Then, the Pope opposes equal rights for all people.  Note like us at the Bigoted Elite.  It’s just an unfortunate coincidence that none of our two top-jobs went to heterosexual females.

“And finally, if we get rid of the Church we will abolish child abuse forever.  No secular organisation – like an English local authority run school or children’s home for example – has ever abused a single child.  And secular local authorities would never dream of dealing with such issues – not that such issues ever happen outside the church – in-house where a taint of cover up could exist.

“And what’s more, secular institutions and authorities would never dream of accusing the Criminal Records Bureau of being an unnecessary burden and campaign for its abolition or a removal of some of its powers; and not one of us would dream of saying that “While it may be impossible to condone paedophilia, it is time society acknowledged the truth that not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful.”
