Christian Solidarity International is
a Christian human rights organization committed to defending religious liberty, helping victims of religious repression, victimized children, and victims of disaster.
CSI was founded in 1977 in Switzerland by Rev. Hans Stückelberger, following peaceful demonstrations in support of persecuted Christians.

I met people from CSI in 1978, when I translated for an international delegation, formed of Jeff Collins, from CSI, US (God knows if this was his real name; probably not – in my secret police file he is nicknamed “Hector”), two members of CSI in the UK and the President of the Indian Baptist Union, which came to plead for the release of my friend Costica Sfatcu. That resulted in my losing my job and working then for a fewa year as an unqualified worker.
CSI was also the organisation to which the ALRC Commitee (Rom. Comitetul pentru Apararea Libertatii Religioase si de Constiinta) adhered after it went public in late Spring 1978.
