Post-secular Times?

David Martin, Grace Davie and Steve Bruce, are as famous in the European sociology of religion as Harvey Cox and Pater Berger are in the United States.

All these authors, and many other with them have written many books and articleson what used to be the vulgata of the sociology of religion, the secularization theory.

That was about three decades ago. In the mean time, things have changed. In spite of their expectations, the world  turned more religious, and many of them are not so sure any more.

David Martin wrote a thorough analysys of the state of this question for Books & Culture. It is a text worth reading. You may find it HERE.
