The news of Vanhoozer’s return to TEDS surprised many. After approximately two years and a half spent at Wheaton Graduate School, as Blanchard Professor of Theology, Vanhoozer returns ‘home’, to the institution where he spent most of his career (from 1998 to 2009), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. It is mostly given his unexpectedly short stay at Wheaton that the announcement of his return to TEDS immediately gave rise to questions and speculations.
Vanhoozer if back at Trinity. Unlike in other cases, nothing suspicious seems to be involved in this latest academic move in the American Evangelical world.
