Does anybody really care about this tragedy?

The US Congress could have not picked a worse time for cutting down the humanitarian budget of the US.

A colleague of mine in World Vision, who is now in that region, told me yesterday that if the international community is not mobilised soon enough for gathering the necessary funding, we may see in the next months about 400,000 children die as a result of this drought.

  1. The economy may be in crutches these days but It is still easier to get funding for presidential electoral rallies.

PS.I think you missed a word in the last sentence.

    • Thanks. I have corrected. It was about 400,000 children in danger of dying. That is more than the population of my city.
