My son’s latest sermon.
As he says, this is not for those faint hearted traditionalists. His allusions to the Rob Bell debate are quite obvious.

The question now becomes – Whom do you evangelize? What is the fine line between saved and secular? Is someone who believes in Universalism a true Christian? Yes, they can be. (My lesson from the Love wins dialogues)
Wrong doctrine (per se’) is not exclusionary to salvation, but it can affect faith in God.
I am curious, what kind of people does Matthew 7:23 refer to – Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Evil doers as in – they never repented of their evil, or they continue their evil their whole life? If anyone has studied this topic in depth, I would appreciate a more thorough explanation. I’m not so much interested what happens to them when Jesus will ask them to depart, as to identifying ‘whom’ Jesus is referring to there.
Because there are so called good Christians who snap and become evil doers, too.
But getting back to the question, what is your opinion? How would you decide the criteria for evangelizing someone?
By the way, your son has a lovely Scottish (brogue? or what is it called when it’s Scottish?)
Dialogue is always good! Keeps us all up late.
and I see McLaren and Mohler are talking again
