My Lai – heroes and killers

My friend Alex Nadaban published recently on his blog the story of  Hugh C. Thompson, Jr., the courageous American soldier who took a great risk in order to confront and put an end to the crimes committed by American soldiers at My Lai, in Vietnam on 16 March 1968.  You may find the story HERE.

He revealed to me just a few days ago the story of William Calley, the unrepentant war criminal that killed indiscriminately tens of people in that Vietnamese village. His story may be read HERE.

And, yes, that man in the picture above, with the Bible in his hand, is the criminal himself. Go figure!
